Welcome to the City of York Scout Band - 2004 BYBA Division 3 runners up

The City of York Scout Band (CYSB) was formed in the summer of 1991 as a musical outlet for all City of York Scouts aged up to 25 years of age.

The band are members of the British Youth Band Association and have progressed from Novice class to the elite Premier class.

CYSB perform and compete at local and national events, we lead formal military-style parades and carnivals, or perform a choreographed display.

• 3 times National Scout Band Champions
• Winners of many BYBA and Scout Band titles
• Awarded the 'City of York Shield' by the Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of York.

• Wembley Arena
• Windsor Castle, for the Royal Family & Chief Scout on two occasions
• The National Queen's Scouts Review at Windsor Castle, and played alongside the Coldstream Guards
• Opening ceremonies of the Euro Tram in Strasbourg
• Live on TV, on BBC's Blue Peter
